This course is a continuation for a former course in contact lenses OP 455. In contact lenses 2 it is aimed to further introduce the students to the field of contact lenses. Students will learn advanced principles of fitting and evaluation of different types of contact lenses including rigid and scleral contact lenses. Keratoconus and other corneal irregularities are also discussed with theor management options.The course also dicuss myopia control with focus orthokeratology. Generally, students will go through advanced topics in contact lenses.
Moreover this course focuses on the detection and management of chronic and acute complications induced by rigid and scleral contact lens wear with focus in dy eye disease.
