This course will introduce the problems that occur with the different types and depths of burn injuries and the complications that can result from thermal destruction of the skin. Additionally, this course will introduce the problems that occur with different types of reconstructive surgery. Current techniques used in the medical, surgical, and rehabilitation management of the patient who has been burned or had reconstructive surgery will be described.
