This course introduces students to assistive technology used in rehabilitation, particularly those require physical therapist services such as individuals with physical, sensory and cognitive disabilities. This course also includes an in-depth review of the principles and practices of assistive technology to support independence and participation in daily life activities at home, school, or work. Students will be encouraged to learn by exploring, creating and applying clinical reasoning skills during the process of assessment, selection adaptation and training of assistive technology to individuals with disability.
