This course introduces students to patient safety principles and infection control guidelines within healthcare settings. Students will gain knowledge about the sources of infection, modes of transmission and the implementation of suitable measures to control the spread of infections. Students will also learn how to identify, analyze and effectively manage potential risks related to respiratory diseases and infections in their work placements. This course will also provide students with comprehensive understanding of safety guidelines and assist them in practicing effective safety measures during the respiratory care of patients in clinical training settings.
