This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials. It covers fundamental approaches for fabricating nanostructured materials using both bottom-up and top-down techniques. Examples are drawn from the synthesis of one-dimensional (1D) nanostructures, two-dimensional (2D) materials, thin films, and self-assembled monolayers. The course also introduces various techniques used to characterize the chemical, mechanical, optical, structural, and morphological properties of nanomaterials.
