Students in this course will study international cooperation and disagreements over shared water resources. It investigates methods for resolving disputes and draws conclusions in the context of various relevant case studies. The course includes a wide variety of topics, such as a detailed introduction to the study of water disputes, conflict and cooperation theories, and related fields such conflict dynamics, environment, gender, non-violent conflict, and cooperation potentials. In this curriculum, examples of water-related partnerships and disagreements are coupled with theoretical insight.
