3 Credit hours (3 h lectures). This course aims to provide a comprehensive introduction to manufacturing processes with a focus on casting, turning, milling, welding and heat treatment, manufacturing process selection for materials and shapes, manufacturing process selection for linear tolerance and geometric tolerance, surface roughness, metrology and characterization techniques.
