This course focus on the skills of management of gynecologic emergencies, management of complications associated with pregnancies, management of deliveries (normal, abnormal and complicated), and the care provided immediately post-delivery to both, mother and its newborn. Fetal monitoring and transitional phase between intrauterine and extra-uterine lives will be discussed as well. Students will have the opportunity to participate in normal and abnormal obstetrical problems at the clinical and/or preclinical environment as possible. This lab also covers the skills of management of pediatric emergencies, including, choking, resuscitation, trauma, child abuse and shock.
