This course aims to supplement the theoretical florsocopy course.
It introduces the students to the concepts of fluoroscopy imaging, fluoroscopy machine, and it's different parts, by practically seeing these components and how they function.
Students will have a hands on practice of preparing different contrast media types. They will learn how to prepare them, in addition to reviewing their possible side effects, risks, contraindications, and complications.
Students will cover the basic principles and methods of radiation protection in the fluoroscopy room.
They will see how different floroscopy procedures are performed, with the focus on patients preparation, patient position to visualize different anatomical parts, normal anatomical variations and different pathologies. They will observe fluoroscopy procedures on the upper GI, lower GI, urinary tract, and hepatobiliary system.
