Course Name CPE748 - Vlsi Design
Course Description
The VLSI Design Course for the master's level emphasizes strengthening basic knowledge and expanding background in the fundamentals and modern topics of recent technologies. It covers the fundamental theories and techniques of digital VLSI design in CMOS Technology. This course will deliver the fundamental concepts and structures of designing digital VLSI systems, including CMOS devices and circuits, standard CMOS fabrication processes, CMOS design rules, static and dynamic logic structures, interconnect analysis, CMOS chip layout, simulation and testing, low power techniques, design tools and methodologies, and VLSI architecture. Students in this course will run and simulate assignments aligned with the project orientation. Simulation tools such as Mathematica, MATLAB, and SPICE are expected to be used to extract models for the above topics.
