This course introduces students to the utilization of information technology for supporting organizational decision making. the students will learn the difference between data, information, and knowledge. they will build an understanding that management is all about making decisions in solving organizational problems. they also will learn that knowledge is the capacity of solving problems and this capacity requires access to data and information, which is what information systems do. the students will learning the types of management information systems and how each type supports its category of employees or managers. finally, the students will be introduced to the process of developing these management information systems which they will master in another course.
