Course Description
This course provides students with practical experience in managing and operating Linux systems. This lab-based course emphasizes essential Linux skills, including command-line usage, system administration, and troubleshooting. Students will work in a Linux environment to explore its robust features, flexibility, and widespread use in cybersecurity. the student will be able to gain proficiency in Linux command-line tools and shell scripting, Understand the structure of the Linux file system, and manage files and directories. Perform user and group management, permission settings, and resource allocation. Learn process management, job scheduling, and system monitoring techniques. Configure and manage networking, including IP settings and firewall configurations. Explore Linux tools for system security, log analysis, and performance tuning. The student can use any distribution, but it is recommended to use Kali Linux distribution.
