Biostatistics is the application of statistical methods that includes summarizing data and drawing conclusions from data related to humans and their health problems. The course provides basic knowledge on the science of biostatistics, including terminology, concepts, theories, evidence ? based practice and general application. Students taking the course are expected to obtain background knowledge on descriptive and analytical methods that are used to estimate associations between variables and develop a solid foundation of research methods in their perspective fields of education in medical and health sciences.
