The purpose of this course is to familiarize students with the fundamental conceptual tools and embodied processes of architectural design. Students will get an understanding of the many ways architects approach design and the various design tools that function as practical instruments for architectural output. These methods are often drawn from the investigation of a number or disciplines. The aim of this course is to provide students with the knowledge and abilities necessary to create design and research strategies in a variety of fields of architectural research. The course will be conducted in a seminar-style. Students will contribute to seminars by conducting an independent study and presenting critical analysis of assigned readings.
