This course advances students? understanding of landscape architecture as an integrated ecological and socio-spatial system within urban environments. Moving beyond formal composition, the course frames landscape as infrastructure that addresses climate adaptation, hydrology, social equity, and environmental resilience in arid contexts. Students will work collaboratively on a comprehensive design project focused on reclaiming wadi landscapes as public and ecological systems. The studio integrates environmental analysis, program development, landscape systems design, planting strategies, material studies, and technical detailing. Emphasis is placed on evidence-based, climate-responsive design solutions appropriate to Jordan?s environmental and urban conditions.
