This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the basics of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer, with a focus on their applications in unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Students will learn the fundamental principles of thermodynamics, including the laws of energy conservation, enthalpy, and entropy, and how they relate to UAV propulsion and power systems. Fluid mechanics topics will cover fluid statics, dynamics, and the behavior of airflows, with an emphasis on UAV aerodynamics. The course also explores heat transfer mechanisms (conduction, convection, and radiation) and their impact on the design and operation of UAV thermal management systems.
