Course Description
This course discusses the basic principles of drug information. The course aims to explain the role of pharmacists in answering medical related questions and the proper techniques that should be acquired to search the answers through the different databases. The different types of drug information resources, primary, secondary and tertiary, are covered in details focusing on the advantages and disadvantages of each type. This course offers a mechanistic analysis of clinical trials and the best way to evaluate the quality of these studies. Further, other interventional studies and observational studies are described in this course with emphasizing on their designs and characteristics. It also highlights the components professional writing to fully be able to write short documents. The concepts of plagiarism and bibliography are also deliberated.
