Course Description
The primary objective of this course is to introduce the student to the clinical applications of pharmacogenetics in Pharmacy. Students will be expected to learn about the basic pharmacogenetic techniques and the use of pharmacogenomics in clinical pharmacy. This course will focus on the clinical use of pharmacogenetics. We will start the course with a brief introduction to pharmacogenetics research and some of the techniques used. Each class session will focus on a different clinical topic of pharmacogenetics and will consist of didactic lecture and case presentation.
