3 Credit Hours.The focus of this course is to highlight the impact of natural products in the drug discovery and development process. Topics related to the different methods, approaches, and strategies utilized in the discovery of new drug leads from nature will be covered, including biochemistry- and molecular biology-based methods. A number of unique drugs of natural origin will be highlighted during the course.
