This course introduces students to the key principles and aspects of experimental, clinical therapeutics, and health outcomes. The format of this course is designed for students to address experimental and clinical problems and assist them to identify solving approaches. This course covers topics in molecular pharmacology including the molecular basis of human disease, drug-receptor pharmacology, drug response, and evaluation of techniques to determine the efficacy and toxicity of new drug therapies. It will also cover topics related to therapeutic evaluation and applications of new drugs in human diseases and the different types of measures used in outcomes research, including economics, clinical and patient-reported outcomes.
