This course provides didactic material and practical training regarding retail setting of community pharmacy, dispensing skills and developing patient counseling skills in community pharmacy under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. Topics in this course cover medications dispensed for treatment of diseases attributed to major therapeutics systems. Upon completion of this course, students should be able to perform basic supervised dispensing and counseling techniques. In addition to that students should be able to gain knowledge about retail pharmacy setting, merchandising, administration and display and purchasing skills.
