This course discusses therapeutic plans, treatment modalities, and available options to treat different types of cancer as well as immunological and haematological disorders. Each of the topics presented in this syllabus are discussed in relation to disease epidemiology, pathophysiology, risk factors, clinical presentation, and management. In depth discussion of available drug and non-drug treatments is the main part of each topic. Therapeutic plans are explained in terms of available drug therapies as well as treatment guidelines and recommendations. In addition, extensive discussion of special pharmacokinetic considerations, drug properties, administration, and adverse effect profile is covered within the context of therapeutic plan development. The course also elaborates on available options for prevention of special types of diseases.
