The Drug manufacturing laboratory I is a hands-on course designed to complement the theoretical concepts covered in the Pharmaceutics I course, focusing on the fundamental principles of physical chemistry as applied to pharmaceutical systems. This laboratory course provides students with practical experience in exploring the physical properties and behaviors of pharmaceutical materials. Students will conduct experiments to understand the physicochemical properties of drug substances, excipients, and drug delivery systems. Students will also explore the principles of dissolution, solubility crucial factors in the development and optimization of pharmaceutical formulations. In addition to experimental techniques, students will learn data analysis and interpretation skills, allowing them to draw meaningful conclusions from experimental results. Laboratory reports will be used to reinforce effective scientific communication and documentation practices.
