Course Description
This course is designed to aid the student in the application of knowledge gained in practical situations; needs assessment, missions, goals, and objectives of planning and implementing health education programs. This course provides an overview of health promotion programs and systems, public health issues, and primary locations for health education resources with a focus on design and implementation. This course will present theories/models for health promotion program planning and implementation in community/public health settings. This course will provide an opportunity for students to assess critically health needs and creatively design health strategies for varying populations of clients through a review of recent literature, class discussion, and project assignments, students will become familiar with major issues, methods, and solutions of concern to health care planners.
