Course Description
Course provides students with knowledge and clinical experience in removable prosthodontics. Students will have an opportunity to treat edentulous and partially edentulous patients. Students will learn to perform thorough examination of the edentulous and partially dentate patient, in addition to making impressions, jaw relation registration, phonetics and aesthetic principles, insertion of complete dentures and management of complete dentures complications. Weekly lectures will cover topics related to management of complete denture complications and maintenance procedures of complete dentures such as reline, rebase, repairs and copy dentures. In addition to principles of occlusal therapy and occlusal splints and the laboratory procedures in fixed prosthodontics, and aesthetic principles and shade selection in prosthodontics
