The theoretical part of the course deals with a group of diseases and abnormalities that affect the oral-facial region. The student will be taught the aetiology and the clinical characteristics of the disease. The students will be instructed how to reach a final diagnosis of these disorders through a systematic approach including full examination and special laboratory tests and discussing the treatment options for each disease. The oral manifestations of some systemic diseases will be also discussed. The practical part of the course will be in form of small group discussions on images of diseases taught in the course.
