This course aims to develop the advanced practical skills required for specialist-level restorative dentistry. It focuses on refining manual dexterity, precision, and attention to detail through intensive preclinical training using simulation models and typodont exercises. Students will gain hands-on experience in cavity preparation, direct and indirect restorations, adhesive techniques, & the restoration of function and aesthetics with contemporary materials. Emphasis is placed on mastering isolation, occlusal harmony, contouring, finishing, and polishing procedures to achieve biologically sound and aesthetic results. The course also cultivates effective clinical judgment and procedural confidence, ensuring students can perform complex restorative tasks efficiently and accurately. By the end of the course, students will demonstrate competence in all core operative techniques and be fully prepared to transition these skills to a specialist clinical setting, upholding high standards of quality and patient care.
