A didactic course that aims to provide a comprehensive evidenced based knowledge in management of endodontic failure and traumatic injuries to the teeth. It includes evidence based lectures and seminars by the course coordinator, and clinical case presentation and discussion to enhance treatment planning skills and decision making in advanced endodontictopics. The students has to present a critical evaluation of related current literature provided by the instructor in addition to setting long essay exams a to outline management of clinical scenarios with support from literature. Short quizzes and flipped class room are also utilized.
Course Objectives
1. Provide the students with basic current and update information in the art and science of modern Endodontics including endodontic retreatment, endodontic microsurgery and dental traumatology
2. Understand the concept of evidence-based dentistry and understand the hierarchy of the available evidence and discussion of quality of published relevant articles and how to relate to specialist dental practice
