This course is divided into two parts: aquaculture & exotic animal medicine. Each part will start with an introduction. The aquaculture part will discuss the status and future of aquaculture in Jordan and proceed to show how fish reproduce and grow, then will directly describe how veterinarians perform antemortem and post-mortem inspection of fish, and how to keep a high biosecurity standard in aquacultures. This part will be concluded by presenting some of the major components of a national strategy for preventing and controlling fish diseases. The second part of the course will cover exotic medicine of rabbits, birds, tortoises and turtles, snakes, and big cats.
