This clinical course provides advanced hands-on training in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of diseases affecting large animals, including cattle, horses, sheep, goats, and camelids where applicable. Students participate in supervised clinical rotations within the veterinary teaching hospital and field settings, performing comprehensive clinical examinations, formulating differential diagnoses, selecting and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing evidence-based treatment plans. Emphasis is placed on case management, emergency and critical care, herd health, client communication, clinical decision-making, and professional ethics. Students also gain experience in medical record keeping, case presentations, and interdisciplinary collaboration while integrating knowledge from internal medicine, surgery, diagnostic imaging, clinical pathology, and preventive medicine to provide high-quality veterinary care.
