Course Description
The course provides advanced knowledge about foodborne pathogens including the general characteristics of each pathogen, growth conditions and ecology in food, control interventions in during processing, and signs of each pathogen infection. The virulence characteristics of each pathogen also covered. Pathogen that discussed in this course include infection bacteria, toxigenic bacteria, viruses and parasites.
