Course Description
This is a writing Fundamental course where the focus is on equipping students with the essential skills to craft well-structured academic paragraphs. This course has been designed to guide learners through the basic components of an academic paragraph, emphasizing the importance of a clear topic sentence, coherent body, and a compelling concluding statement. The complexities of academic paragraphs will be discussed to help students understand how these elements lay the groundwork for effective writing. Moving forward, a journey through various types of paragraphs in English is embarked upon. Starting with the descriptive paragraph, progression is made to the example, process, and opinion paragraphs. Through analysis and practice, students gain a comprehensive understanding of each type, enhancing their versatility in written expression. In addition to paragraph structures, key grammatical concerns vital for proficient writing are addressed. The nuances of sentence construction are delved into, issues related to articles are tackled, mastery of subject-verb agreement is ensured, navigation through verb tenses is conducted, and the correct usage of pronouns is explored.
