Course Description
Course Description: This course is designed for intermediate ESL students who need to develop better listening comprehension and oral skills, which will primarily be achieved by detailed instructions on pronunciation. The course focuses on a range of skillsets, including improving listening comprehension, participating in class discussions, understanding conversational strategies, giving group presentations, asking and answering questions, interacting effectively with native speakers, and improving through self-evaluation of speech. Videos from Discovery Education are included in every unit throughout the course to introduce topics, promote discussion and motivate learners. The videos provide a new angle on a wide range of academic subjects. The course outcomes are supposed to be achieved by: - participating in lectures and class discussions on topics related to the theme of every unit. - Encouraging students to discuss with inspiration from interesting questions and supplementary visual and audio works. - preparation for each class session by reading about the coming topics and watching videos provided to students on the Facebook group. - Making more discussions using social medias.
