Course Name ENG242 - Language Skills Through Literary Texts
Course Description
Prerequisite: Eng. 241 This course provides a survey of selected European works from the neoclassical period to the present. Emphasis is placed on historical background, cultural context, and literary analysis of selected prose, poetry, and drama. Students will read literary texts and explanations of literary concepts. Students will discuss these works in writing. By the end of this course, students will have an increased level of literary literacy and will be encouraged to begin a lifelong practice of reading good books.
