This course aims to develop verbal and non-verbal communication skills, such as speaking, listening, and technical writing, enabling students to communicate effectively in diverse work environments. It also provides an introduction to management theories and their practical applications in planning, organizing, and controlling business activities, with emphasis on the key roles, skills, and functions of management to support effective and efficient decision-making. In addition, the course addresses essential topics such as business ethics, data ethics (including legitimate use and algorithmic fairness), environmental awareness, international management, the role of women in management, and the impact of political environments on organizational practices. The course includes projects or assignments focusing on practical use cases related to course topics, or hands-on learning aligned with internationally recognized professional certifications related to the Database systems.
