Course Description
This course is designed to strengthen and broaden knowledge with the industrial processes for manufacturing important inorganic materials. The experiments are: Glass making ( lead glass and bioactive glass). Conversion of scrap aluminum into synthetic zeolite , Ion exchange properties of zeolites. Hydrocracking of paraffin using zeolites. Recovery of copper metal from malachite ore. High temperature reaction ( recovering technical silicon from sand). Preparation and applications of fluorescent M-oxinato complexes. Chloralkali industry (Electrolysis of NaCl solution).
