Course Description
This course aims to teach students the basic principles of applied electrical chemistry. The first part of the course will cover the fundamental aspects of electrode processes to familiarize the students the theoretical and practical of electrode process. Tafel equation, principles of electrolysis and different types of over-voltages will be covered in details. Polarography, its applications and all aspects related to polaroghraphic waves will be covered also. Electrochemical processes as sources of energy was also covered using different forms of chemical cells with their chemical electrodes reactions. Different types of applications (Electroplating. Corrosion and its controls. Batteries and fuel cells), their characteristics and fundamentals will be illustrated in details.
