Abstract:
Fitting of indirect fixed dental restorations is vital towards the long term success of the restoration whether it is a single crown or fixed partial denture (FPD). Poorly fitting crown and FPD are potentially harmful to the abutment teeth and their periodontium. The purpose of this study is to retrospectively identify the methods used to investigate the fit precision of the fixed dental restorations, explore different testing variables employed and their effect on reported results.
